When you hear the phrase Irish Wine Estates, it might sound surprising. After all, Ireland is far better known for whiskey, stout, and rolling green pastures than for grapevines. But that’s exactly why our journey is so exciting. We’re building something new: a wine estate rooted in Ireland’s heritage, crafted for the future, and dedicated to producing wines that carry a truly Irish identity.
Why We Started Irish Wine Estates
Our vision began with a simple but ambitious question: Could Ireland become a home for world-class wines?
With climate conditions shifting, pioneering vineyards proving what’s possible, and a global audience eager for authentic Irish products, the answer is a resounding yes.
Irish Wine Estates was founded on three principles:
- Place – Our vineyard in Tipperary, with its mineral-rich soils and cool climate, is ideal for cultivating elegant, cool-climate wines
- Patience – Great wine takes time. Our still wines will debut in 2029, followed by our sparkling wines in 2032
- Pride – We are committed to creating wines that reflect Irish heritage and connect with people of Irish origin worldwide

Building in Public
Unlike many wine estates that quietly grow until launch, we’re choosing to share our journey as it unfolds. From planting vines to tackling challenges, we want our community to be part of the process. This approach allows you to witness the transformation of Ireland into a wine-producing country, step by step.
Our Wines: A Long-Term Vision
- Still Wines (2029) – Crisp whites and elegant reds from carefully selected grape varieties suited to Ireland’s climate
- Irish Sparkling Wine (2032) – Crafted in the traditional method, with freshness, minerality, and Irish character at its core
Our aim is not to copy other regions but to create wines that speak authentically of Ireland.
Connecting with the Irish Story
For those with Irish heritage across the world – especially in the US and UK – enjoying a glass from Irish Wine Estates will be more than just drinking wine. It will be about reconnecting with the land, celebrating roots, and sharing in a new chapter of Irish history.
The Future of Irish Wine Estates
We are at the very beginning of a decades-long journey. By the time our first bottles reach your table, they will carry not just flavour, but the story of how Ireland embraced winemaking and established a new tradition.
And that’s the promise of Irish Wine Estates: to craft wines that carry Ireland’s spirit in every sip.
